Package 19 floors of reinforced concrete topping to metal decking to form a new build office development in central Birmingham. Other associated works included casting high level upstands and plinths, as well as casting structural steel plates to the three cores of the building.
A very tight project situated in the heart of Birmingham city centre. Pouring twice a week concurrently to each floor consisting of roughly 250m3 per pour. A static pump was situated in the small area given by BAM on the ground floor.
Temporary static concrete pipe line was installed through the building and up through the main core of the building. Loading out of roughly 220 sheets of mesh per floor was especially challenging. Working in co-ordination with Severfield (steel frame) to organise lifts for loading out along with the continuing construction of the main building frame.
