The objective of the Lower Gornal works was to improve the quality of the effluent to achieve the new AMP7 Water Framework Directive (WFD) phosphorus and ammonia permits set out in the National Environmental Programme (NEP).

TCL structures was appointed to Construct Various RC structures around the site to accommodate required improvements. 

Our works included construction of TAR slabs, TSR Backwash slabs, Dosing Kiosks,  and other various RC structures including external Hardstanding
