Brentford Community Stadium Access Bridge

Brentford Community Stadium Access Bridge PackageConstruction of Concrete abutments and pouring concrete slab on Steel Bridge. On this project we were involved in constructing access bridge to Brentford community Stadium.  Bridge is approx. 12 m wide and 25 m long. We started from constructing pile caps and abutments.  The challenge while constructing abutments was working in near proximity to live network rail and limited working space. We managed to meet very tight deadline even with late release of working area to the west and multiple variations. In order to meet deadlines we increased...

Llangollen Reservoir

Llangollen Reservoir PackageThe construction of an in situ concrete box structure, divided into two sections and including an in situ concrete roof slab, that would eventually form two underground freshwater reservoirs delivering potable water to the town of Llangollen. A challenging construction programme saw the main structure (35m x 17m x 5m high) completed in a little over 6 weeks, which included weekend working. Additional pressure on the site team came in the form of strict hygiene measures designed to minimise contamination risks to the new structure during construction. A project...

EVA Knighton

EVA Knighton Located in mid-Wales, our order comprised the construction of a large in situ concrete box structure that connects one end of a 1.85km underground potable water delivery pipe to the extended siphon which replicates the operational requirements of the existing wellhouse on the same site. Water supply eventually would be fed to Frankly Birmingham. The main issues considered on this project were the height of the perimeter walls (10m), and the complexity of the internal baffle walls (5m high with radius bullnose ends). Both required careful liaison with our supply chain and formwork...

Arley Water Treatment Works

Arley Water Treatment works This Project involved casting of several discrete reinforced concrete structures throughout the site, ranging from sludge holding tanks, Mcerts chamber and TSR bases. A fairly small job undertaken here for TCL but an initial good first job for a new client in Galliford Try. Since NMCN went into administration. Galliford Try took on the workbook for Severn Trent upcoming works initially lined up for NMCN. A lot of the staff we worked with in the past were kept on with Galliford Try so was an easy change over here. Small square and radius bases, along with Mcerts...
